Weekend Art

So everybody baled out on me Saturday for going to Prov Sketchy so I don't have any pictures of boxum gals to post for you today. Instead I started painting the under the sea mural on my Gramma's bathroom wall with the help of my brother's girl friend, Marisa. We did a good job. One or two nights this week I'll have to work on it more, and spend another good chunk of this upcoming Saturday painting again.

Saturday afternoon I went to Sarah's and we watched Rent: Recorded Live on Broaday. Still amazing after the 3rd time seeing it. Seriously people, if you want to see Rent, either see the tour, or the live DVD. The movie is terrible.

Mark and Angel from Rent. Yes, I drew a man.... he is a tad girly looking though.... :/

Then Sunday the student that I am mentoring for her senior project came over to work on her project. We kinda botched things a bit so this week I am going to figure out what we did wrong, correct it, and then tell her about it next time we meet up. And while she was working I drew a Princess Jasmine doppleganger.

Mark and Angel done on Moleskine, Jasmine done in my sketch book. All just pencil.

鉄腕アトム

Clay, the Hopeless Romantic posted a clip from a very horrible live action adaptation of Astro Boy. So, naturally, I decided to do a doodle of Astro Boy on scrap paper at work. Fun times.

He scanned in a little crooked... :P But what are you gonna do about it?

I wish I collected the English manga for this before it went out of print...

Lets have some fun...

... this beat is sick, I want to take a ride on your disco stick.

Just a doodle on some scrap paper at work. It's supposed to be Lady Gaga.

Sketch Deposit...

Not much new stuff lately. My non-life has been uninspiring so I will present you with an old moleskine spread, and a work sketch.

Moleskine and brush pen. The Mircron brand of brush pens kind of suck. They fray fast. I like the Faber Castle ones the best.

Just a simple pencil sketch on "double weight matte paper". I still have yet to decide if this is a guy or girl... I think it is supposed to be a girl.

Donna Troy

It's kinda hard to get her ink slotched suit right using just pencil...

Donna Troy from Wonder Woman
Pencil on paper. No big deal.

Seriously... is Wonder Woman the only thing I draw anymore?

Seriously?

Wonder Woman
Pencil on paper. Nothing special.
Click it, and it grows.

Photos...

Went into Providence today. Took some pictures around Thayer St. and that area. Then I went to American Apparel, and the P. Place Mall. Nice lazy day.
